I just picked up my law school diploma.  It turns out that after my grades were calculated, I graduated Cum Laude.  They didn't announce it at graduation because the grades hadn't been calculated yet.  Regardless of not being publicly honored for this, I'm really, really pleased.

That's fantastic to hear from you. I know (personally) that the status of your degree is a big deal to some and means very little to others. But by the sound of where you're going, I can't see it doing anything but helping you in all of your endeavors ( ... )

Thank you very much for you praise. I try to do my best to learn something new every day, understand where people are coming from, and enjoy life as much as I can in spite of its difficulties.

Graduating with honors was really a shock to me. I didn't realize it at first. Honestly, I was so wrapped up in my work and whatnot that I didn't even notice it. It was a pleasant shock when I discovered this as my mom pointed it out while I was framing my degree.

I used to only focus on topics that I enjoyed while in college and high school. Luckily, I only have taken courses that I enjoy and like since my junior year of high school. When it came to boring topics, I opted to take classes that were reasonably interesting. For example, in college I took astronomy for a science credit. I think knowing one's talents and being able to harness that ability is one of the keys to success in school and in life. Thanks again.

With you as my client, I'll have environmentalists protesting outside of the office from all the trees we're killing to produce the amount of paperwork we're filing. Where's that boiling oil?

Thank you very much hon! I'm still amazed by the shock of it all. Here I am, out of law school for a few months and didn't even realize that I graduated with honors.
