I recommend Race for the Galaxy and Agricola. Excellent games.

I might gear away from Agricola, but I am definately getting Race for the Galaxy.

The problem with this group is you have some hardcore gamers and some non-hardcore gamers who want to play. Getting games which are simple enough for the casual gamer to enjoy but at the same time engaging enough for the hardcore gamer to enjoy.

I am definately in for Race for the Galaxy. But as I said to James, I need games that people like you or I can enjoy but are not too hard when it comes to game dynamics for someone like Ken to enjoy.

Chicago express is pretty good, and I am deeply hurt that Boomo! isn't on that list.

Also, Bang is pretty sweet, and the bean game but I can't remember what it is called even though I played it like 12 times yesterday.

I don't like the ratings on BGG. I love the site, but there are a lot of games I love they just rip on

Arkham Horror can play up to 10 with all the expansions, but yeah is horrible for newbies (and addictive for those that aren't).
Dominion is a 4 player game actually, and with the first expansion goes up to 6. And its extremely popular with experienced players and newbies alike (its one of the most popular games at GAPS right now - along with Race for the Galaxy).

Is the expansion (Intrigue) worth getting? I know it plays as it's own game, but I am curious if it is worth it as an expansion?

Yea, I have AH but I only play it with the people who are hardcore. The game can last forever and the mechanics are just so tedious for casual gamers.
