I just wanted everyone to know that today the adoption was finalized! Sandi is now the legal parent of Kai, Des, Ryder and Maggie. What was already true, the state of California has now made "official". Woo hoo!!!! -

Adoption time
As some of you may know Sandi met me 12 years ago when I was the frazzled single dad of a whole brood of kids. Soon after we were married the kids decided to call her "mom", since that's who she was to them. Now we have the opportunity to make that all legal and such with an official adoption.

Today we passed by The Fresno Met and it made me curious about the etymology of the word "Metropolitan" or "Metropolis"
I found out that it comes from the Greek mētēr meaning 'mother' and pólis meaning 'city/town'.
So, if Metropolis means Mother Town, what does metrosexual mean???
