It is an eventful year and I find myself back where I started 13 years ago. Maybe I will get it right next time...

Well, it looks like I am not as good as I thought I was. Have to wear the collar till at at least the end of January. I think I am stuck with this because I came back to work a bit 'early' but it beats the alternative...have to keep gamefully employed

With neck brace and meds in hand, I am getting my butt back to work. I may look like an accident victim but I have to do something before they sell my job out from under me. Sucks but at least it is partial days. It is not going to be a happy thing but sometime you end up where the rubber meets the road and you must act accordingly

I am still working around the concept of this neckbrace as well as the post surgery as a whole. I know what the doctors did to me inside my neck to fix me but I have alot or external things I can not explain. From my guess, they hooked a few things to me through my hands and arms and I think they got "creative" to get me attached to the OR table ( Read more... )

I am going to my first follow up appointment today. I hope to use this to punch out the activities for my recovery and plan my next moves. The surgeon did good work but the recovery is mine. I have been living with this particular pain for so long that part of my recovery is finding out what it was keeping me from doing. I thank all of the ( Read more... )

I was diagnosed with a serious injury to my neck and now I am about to undergo a 6 hour surgery and a few weeks in 'self exploration in limits' to recover. This is not how I wanted to spend Halloween. They are talking some serious things that could go wrong but it is such that I am in between the rock and hard place. Finally walk the stage for the Associate Degree and dealt with the pain of walking the distance. One more year and I will make a trip again for the Bachelor's. With school starts up again in October, I will feel driven to get on with the 'good works'.

I wish for simple evaluation of the passage of days
so that I may meter my expressions of fury
