Yay! My moon vine got it's first blossom! I'm so proud. It's one of the few plants in my yard that I haven't managed to kill. For some reason I do better with plants in pots than with plants in the ground. Next year I will have to come up with a way to do the entire garden in pots.

That is one aptly named flower. (g) Is it related to the Morning Glory?

I don't do well with plants either, so don't feel bad.

I'm sorry about the sinus infection, those things are hell indeed. I'm glad you got something to knock it out.

I think it may be distant cousin to the morning glory. Moon flowers are much bigger and night blooming rather than morning blooming. They also smell really, really good! Sadly, the blossoms only open once and then die.

Moon vines are gorgeous! Congrats!

My landlord has large parts of her "garden" in large pots, sprinkled liberally around the backyard. I think it looks lovely.

I think container gardening is going to be the way to go. I was hoping to be able to avoid the expense though. It's much cheaper to just stick the plants in the dirt.
