technically christian and episcopal churches teach that any union of two people that love and care for one another is alright and they approve of gay marriages. catholic churches are usually the ones who bring god and the bible into all the gay marriage conflict. as well as protestants and mormons. my ethics teacher is super catholic and he has a gay brother and he said that he loves his brother with all his heart. and then two weeks later he said that any penetration of the anus is a sin. so i asked him what if a girl just really liked it that way...how was that different...he sent me out of class. i don't think its the religion thats messed up. but rather the people who twist and use their religion as an excuse for their own prejudices, and bias against others. how can people say no to gay marriage in all seriousness, but then laugh and jk about when pple like britney spears, or dennis rodman make a jk out of marriage. i mean for god sakes pple (no pun intended) mockery of union is everywhere, in the media with movies on divorce and

i had the fattest, most annying conversation with all the Loggers one night... it sucked. the more they try and prech to me, the less serious i'll ever take them. right now, religion is a fad at our school, simple as that. on the whole gay marrige issue, i don't know about it enough to have more than just my opinion. but i think its ok. way to be tough, and in my eyes, win the debate joshy!

on the gay marriage issue, u said u didnt know enough about it. so let me break it down for u. some people dont want two people of the same sex to get married because they either see it as unnatural, uncivilized or unamerican. its all bullshit. what marriage really is, what it represents, isnt a country or its morality or love between a man and a women, its a bond of love between two individuals. people need to remember discrimination doesnt work, we're better than that.
