Oh. My. Gosh! Thank you so much for writing this. I love it! Transuranics be scary if this is the result! The two of them as humans with all the knowledge of elements is such an intriguing idea.

Excellent! This would have made a great episode of the actual show, Sapphire and Steel having to solve the puzzle without the benefit of their powers. Great work! :-)

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for reading and for the high praise. :D Tt was a fun prompt to be sure, even though this wasn't the story I set out to write. Fic is funny that way.

Most writing has a mind of its own to a certain degree, I think. Generally it seems to work out best to let it do its thing--it seems to know what it's doing. :D

I totally agree. When it wants to take the reins, then I go along for the ride. it's never where I was thinking of going, but I'm rarely disappointed! However, say that to a non-writer and they look at you as you've suddenly grown a third arm (which wouldn't be bad, actually.)

Or have a free hand for the coffee cup! :D
I gave up long ago trying to understand how I write - it's just a process that happens. I can't explain it; I barely understand it. Just as long as it keeps on, I'm pleased as a mosquito in a nudist colony.

I'm pretty lucky in that I don't usually have a problem with writer's block (knock wood). It's typically the other problem, too much to write and not enough time! :P

She waited for Steel to answer her, but her partner simply stared at the ground in front of him. He seemed so dejected. Steel did not like to lose.

I'm not ready to stop writing yet... are you ever ready to stop writing? Really? I think I will until I die.
