Excellent! This would have made a great episode of the actual show, Sapphire and Steel having to solve the puzzle without the benefit of their powers. Great work! :-)

Most writing has a mind of its own to a certain degree, I think. Generally it seems to work out best to let it do its thing--it seems to know what it's doing. :D

I totally agree. When it wants to take the reins, then I go along for the ride. it's never where I was thinking of going, but I'm rarely disappointed! However, say that to a non-writer and they look at you as you've suddenly grown a third arm (which wouldn't be bad, actually.)

It's definitely an unpredictable business, but always interesting. One of those many, many things that makes writing the strange process it is. :-)

(And imagine how quickly you could type with a third arm!)

I gave up long ago trying to understand how I write - it's just a process that happens. I can't explain it; I barely understand it. Just as long as it keeps on, I'm pleased as a mosquito in a nudist colony.

Absolutely. As long as the words come, not much else matters. Because sometimes they're quite stubborn...

I'm pretty lucky in that I don't usually have a problem with writer's block (knock wood). It's typically the other problem, too much to write and not enough time! :P

That's very true. I don't mind getting older at times, if only the days would get a bit longer to compensate me. :D

I'm not ready to stop writing yet... are you ever ready to stop writing? Really? I think I will until I die.

I think writing sort of follows you to some degree for as long as you can physically get the words out. Which is probably just as well!
