After 20 min of searching my train for my sleeper car, I finally got settled into my 6 foot by 3 foot cubical you could call a bed. This isn't too bad I thought. So this weekend was pretty cool... Tiff and I went to Livorno. I was told that it had some pretty beaches... upon arrival the town looked more like an Italian Version of La Porte (for those of you who don't know... So I arrived in Florence 2 nights ago. It wasn't 3 min. from the train station that I found myself standing beside the Duomo. All I can say is wow. That monument completely dwarfed me. I can't possibly imagine how they erected something that large so many years ago ( Read more... )

It's about noon and the sun is gleaming. Arie and I are leaving soon to take off for the lake. I'll get plenty of pictures. We will return this evening for my last night in Milan (thank goodness).
