It's raining... it's pouring

So Chris and I rode back to Milano today.... it was beautiful when we left Genova and when we arrived in Milano it was pouring. Ahhhhh my first day of rain. It's all good however. As soon as we got back to the hotel I meet a man named Arie from Iowa. He just graduated from Yale law school and is touring Europe because he came over to see his sister

Hey son, sounds like you are having a great time. Do you remember Carl from the Blast and Cast? You went fishing with him one afternoon. Well he went to Lugna Madre with us and it turns out we have a lot in common (excluding the Masters Degree in math!) Driving back from C.C. we talk about places we have been. He and his wife hiked and camped all the places I have been. I told him we were going to Disney and he said he and his wife are taking there 6yr old son (adopted grandson)the same days we are going and staying in the same RV park. We are going to get together when we get there (let Ginny have both the kids and go to the Keys for the week????) As we talked I told him about the land in Louisiana, he was born near the property. Small World.

Am so happy though that YOU are broadening your horizons and not settling for staying within the confines of North America. Although you and your (how shall I put this?) tales are dearly missed, the opportunity of a lifetime has presented itself to you and thank goodness you have the foresight to have grabbed that brass ring, starting on the ride of a lifetime. As I read some of the other posts, it simply reminds me of how dull most people's lives really are (not inclusive of this being your sister, since I don't remember a day in either hers or your lives that was uneventful !) and how stuck in ruts they have become.

I hate to be the college student but I have been accepted not excepted!!! That meant a lot to me, thanks. I made the National Dean's List also... I was one of 100 out of 800 'excepted' to UTMB, I am in Phi Theta Kappa (International Honors Society), I am Vice President of Public Relations... though that is YOUR field. I am cute... okay well I think I am beginning to take this too far!!!

I will talk to you later, I have to study... well it is a better excuse than telling you I have to go wash my hair!!!
