These publicity stunts encouraged by MTV aid in suppressing any voice but the one spoken with by these celebrities. Which is louder? Obviously whatever hits the news the most. If indeed MTV did not know that the "shocking moments" they promised in their Super Bowl advertisements would include the convenience of Timberlake revealing Jackson's breast during the "have you naked by the end of this song" line, then the appropriate measure to take would be an aggressive action against the two pop stars. That stunt was highly disrespctful, though I don't the media giant would dare slap its poster children in reprimand. You and I have separated ourselves from the majority of our generation, but there is nothing to prove that in the eyes of posterity. For it is in the future history of rock and roll that MTV will be known as our voice.
Exactly, but only the quiet half of us know that. MTV doesn't speak for us but we have nothing to prove it with in the eyes of future history. These publicity stunts, which have have become so seemingly commonplace, are a reflection of our demographic, and since these stunts are what hits the news and takes the center stage as rock and roll's avant-garde, the voice of the antithetic remains frustratingly suppressed.
dude maybe they'll at least wake up and realize they are completely stupid.. but i doubt it.. we couldn't ge tthat lucky... and man am i glad i dind't watch the super bowl halftime.. cuase that was just inappropriate!
