Hey man, sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I've been busy editing the screenplay for the movie that I'm shooting this summer. I checked out your band a while ago when Bones and a few other guys mentioned you were looking for a drummer. I dig the music, and I would love to jam if I had the time. Of course, there in lies the problem. I work about 36 hours a week, lead worship for a ministry downtown, lead a men's Bible study, and I'm trying to get my film career launched. If I ever have a free Saturday I may sit in with you guys, but I don't have the time it takes to be dedicated to a band right now. I hope you find a perminant drummer soon, and I'd be glad to help you find someone if you'd like. Thanks for dropping me a line. Hope to hear from you soon.
Hey man, thank you for getting back with me. So you know my best friend Bones! He did some drumming with us before. Almost everybody I used to be close to and nearly everyone I meet now goes to Discovery. I guess it's inevitable that I'll be showing my face there rather soon.
You have nothing but my full support for your dreams of launching a film career, believe me. I used to have similar aspirations until I realized that what my heart really desired was music. I'm anxious to know where you work in the meantime, however. Me, I work 3rd shift at Kinko's, 4 10-hour nights each week.
Well, you'll be hearing more of me. I added you to my Friends List because I like your posts. I hope you had a good birthday. 23 isn't so bad if you're going the direction you want to be.
Yeah, I met Bones at Status. Hope to see you there man. It's good times.
Thanks. I think the opposite happened to me. I was always interested in film, but chased my Rock n' Roll dreams for about 3 or 4 years. Eventually God shifted my heart and my passion, and now film is really the only path I see myself taking other than full-time ministry. Right now I'm working at Nordstrom in the Florida Mall. I'm a Barista at the espresso bar there. It's a really good job, and I get payed way more than I should for such a simple job. Third shift is rough man. There was a time when I was sleeping during the day, and it completely threw me off tilt.
I did have a good birthday. Thanks. Now that I'm here 23 isn't that bad. We'll see how the year treats me.
