Rumor:

Smashing Pumpkins' "Siamese Dream" is to the original "Disney's Fantasia" movie as Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" is to "The Wizard of Oz."

Press play on the CD right when the conductor raises his baton, and it apparently goes along perfectly.

i really don't know about that, i did the whole pink floyd thing with the wizard of Oz, and i noticed some similarities but nothing worth merit, the only the the wizard of oz had to offer was that munchkin hanging himself in the backround in one of the shots, i saw that when i was thirteen and it still bothers me

Furthermore, it seems like all these rumors were false. "Siamese Dream" played along to "Fantasia" very mildly, giving credit only to the fact that the songs started and ended around the same time as each segment, as well as to the part when the stegosaurus dies right when Billy Corgan sings, "Bang bang, you're dead, hole in your head." Any other coincidence was only due to imagination. However, it was nice to listen to good music and watch good animation together...even though that was the initial intention of the whole "Fantasia" project anyway.
