Claire's feet throbbed, but there was nothing really she could do. Charlie had been acting so strange lately, and she had no idea why. He HAD said that they were friends after the crash, and she did think quite fondly of him, or so she implied in her journal. Maybe...maybe he was just afraid of her like everyone else was. Adrienne struggled with the pile of wood, she knew she'd taken too much but she didn't want to have to go back for a second load. She hated that jungle- it gave her the creeps.
Suddenly her foot caught on a tree root and she pitched forward, she tried to keep hold of the wood and not trip but failed misterably. She let out a grunt of pain, hoping no one had been seen her.

Claire turned suddenly at the grunt coming from behind her. She slowly lifted herself to her feet, the throbbing disappearing as her heart started to beat loudly. Who was it? Was someone trying to get her again? She looked around slowly for Charlie.
"Hello? Is someone there?"
Her voice cracked as she asked. One arm wrapped around her stomach protectively, not even a mother yet, and still thinking about her child. She took slow large steps towards the bushes in which the noise had come from, almost shaking in fear.

"Oh," Adrienne said, she loosened her grip on her piece of wood. "Sorry," she apologized, "I tripped," she smiled, though Claire still looked frightened.

She smiled faintly inspecting the young girl. She couldn't seem to remember anything about this girl. Nor did she believe that she had written about her in her journal.
"I know this may seem...strange...but....do I know you?"

"Are you okay?" She asked the girl she had never seen before, then she looked up at Shannon (wasn't that her name?). "You just missed me falling on my face."

She answered Shannon. She glanced at Sonnis, wanting to help the girl up, but not sure how much of a help she really COULD be.

Shannon turned to Claire and eyed her strangley for a moment, wondering if the pregnant girl would snap at her again. Not that she blamed her, it was just that Shannon was used to doing the snapping.
