So, three out of the four people living in my apartment (including me) have the flu. Blech. Apparently its a Wind Ensemble epidemic - essentially anyone that went to Kansas City is now sick thanks to someone on the bus that had the flu and didn't say that he was sick.

I am back! :D

The CBDNA concert was AMAZING! With every song the performance of the ensemble got better and better. I played the world premier piece probably the best I'd ever done. The composer, who was in the audience, even came and shook my hand after the concert and said I played it beautifully. We even got a standing ovation - which doesn't ( Read more... )

So, at the end of February the Wind Ensemble of Texas A&M Commerce is performing at a national convention called CBDNA (College Band Directors National Association). To mark this special occasion, over a year ago Dr. Gershman hired a guy (Jonathan Newman) to write a BRAND NEW song for us to play.
