It's been a long time since I posted anything, so I thought I'd check in and post various fanly (that's like fannish but more manly) things that I'm working on, thinking about working on, or that other people have worked on or thought about working on... if that makes sense.

I regret that I haven't read Midnight Empire -- but I have never actually sat down and read any multi-chapter fic, for whatever reason. It is certainly on my to do list....

I do hope you can write out your thoughts on Riley/Maggie/Adam/The Initiative/Season 4 (and beyond) -- I will be right there when you do!

I sure hope so. I just reread our conversation about the Initiative in the monomyth thread, and it was getting so interesting. There really is a wealth of things to talk about there, and your insights are always so penetrating.

Thanks! You know, I really might try to do a Spike graphic thing. I had loads of fun the last time just trying to hunt down the right pics, and he's such an interesting character.

Mmmm, projects! These are all things that I would be v. v. excited to see. For what it's worth, the Initiative and the Council are things I love to hate, for much the same reasons. Your focus on the anti-authoritarian message of BtVS is one I share. \o/

Thanks, rebcake! I have wanted to do a thing on the Initiative for years, but it's always been very start-stoppy and I've never been able to finish one. I remember I started writing a way, way (way) too long piece on Maggie a couple of years ago, but abandoned it when I realized it had disintegrated into a frothing rant about Marcel Duchamp, Martin Heidegger and Jacques Derrida. 8)
