I spent most of the morning practically smothered under a pile of books at the library. I think I could probably build myself a fort with them if I wanted to, and then have all the notebooks to spare, still. Gott, what a mess. Can anybody read Chine- Er, Xingian? Or does anybody know someone who does? It would save me a lot of work ( Read more... )

You still have a bedroom at our apartment that you are welcome to stay in any time, Brother. ::frowns a little and places a hand on his shoulder:: What happened?

I'm glad you were able to find a job you enjoy...

Oh, and uh, Alfons, would you mind if I talked to you about something? I think I could use some advice...

Er, well... Yesterday, something happened between Hei and I. He did something he shouldn't have and I'm not sure what to make of the whole mess... *bites her bottom lip and looks off to the side*

I'm sure that maybe one of my classmates speaks Xingian. It won't hurt to ask them, anyway. What are you working on? Did you want me to help..?

*laughs* I keep forgetting how far behind we are in the sciences compared to your world. With alchemy, there just hasn't really been a reason to go looking for that stuff.

I found an old Xingian medical text, and from what I have heard, their medicine is much farther advanced than anyone's here. I was hoping they might have had some ideas on your condition.

No, indeed. ::smiles:: But then, the advances that have been made due to alchemy are just as remarkable. It is an interesting tradeoff.

Oh. Figured it was something like that. *frowns* But I'll ask around school. I think they offer courses in Xingian, so someone's got to speak it.

Very. Though it would still be nice to have some of that technology. Airplanes for example~

A very good point, ja. Hopefully we can find someone.

::smiles:: I do miss a lot of the things I am used to seeing at home that they do not have here, ja. The almost complete lack of anything that flies is something I will never get used to.
