Pictures for sentimental sake are an alcoholic escape tactic. You transport to a drunken paradise reliving all the wonderful moments attached to that particular photo's value until that nauseating hangover called "reality" strikes back as soon as you put the picture down and realize how much more things suck now.
that was a surprisingly negative response to my post. not all pictures remind me of the 'good old days' -- and usually i find that i'm happier now than i was before. looking at pictures usually makes me happier that i'm finished with those particular messes.
and sometimes its just interesting to compare how things are now to how they were, and how i was, then.
I was kidding. Well...okay, I was intentionally providing a mock exaggeration, but I in no way meant it as an actual negative response. I confess I do have a bad habit forgetting that the tone in which I say things is not demonstrated when I type something. Sorry for sounding negative, but that was contrary to my intended response.
