i've been playing with the electoral college calculator on cnn for weeks with different scenarios. i agree. it's looking pretty good for barack.

hey vishal, can we get some more personal life updates up here? i want to hear how everything is going!

I'm with Amanda's comment. What's going on with VISHAL???

But regarding the election, to use a baseball analogy, it's like we're up 3 runs going into the bottom of the 9th. You know you should win, but until you get those last outs nothing's guaranteed. Can't wait until next Wednesday when we can finally exhale.

i know, i know, but i've been terrible at writing anything at all, let alone vishal stuff. the next couple of posts will have more, i promise.

i think it's more like we're up 5 with mariano rivera (or 2003/2004 eric gagne if you prefer) coming in to close it out. i mean, we could still lose, but it's not looking bloody likely.

i was out last weekend doing no on 8 stuff! marched around the in the morning and then did visibility standing out in the sun all day. the last poll i saw had "no" winning 50-45, so it's close :/

Yups, but I'm still scared of the Bradley effect.

Hopefully we've made SOME progress in 25 friggin' years!!!

NL pride, haha.

i don't think the bradley effect really applies anymore. people don't tell pollsters one thing and do something else these days. if they're not voting for barack, they say they're not gonna vote for him to the pollster.

i'm glad an NL team won, but i thought the rays were an interesting team and i wouldn't have minded seeing them win.

can i ask you a favor? WHAT IN THE HELL IS PROP 11?? i have been reading about it for about 2 hours, trying to comprehend what the pros and cons are, and i just don't understand it completely. it's both supported and shunned by the same organizations, too, (CA democratic party vs. individual democrats, one NAACP committee vs. other NAACP committee... wtf) so i am utterly confused beyond my own capacity.

hey kayte! i just read up on on the props last night, and i'm gonna do one of my traditional ballot measure evaluation posts. in short, i'm thinking to vote yes on prop 11 because the current system is pretty lousy and i can't see how the changes proposed by prop 11 would be worse than the status quo, and likely they would produce better results.
