Well, I got my grades. Amazingly I got a B or better in German, because I got credit for it. (Upper division German grammar is so hard!) I got an A- in stupid Dr. Kann's class. I hate finals week. After all of my hard work for ten weeks, I just sort of give up...

I don't like writing essays on Friday nights, but what do I expect? If papers are always due on Saturday by noon, I'm going to write them on Friday nights.
In other news: Went jogging for an hour after two weeks of not jogging. I'm glad I did. I was getting alarmingly sedentary.

I'm thinking of posting an ad in the paper for a boyfriend because this is getting ridiculous. 23 years old? Single? Like always? The only guys in the grad program that aren't married are either dating or gay? I hate the guys in this town? I mean, really, what could I expect? I need to get out of this town stat. Deutschland, komme ich jetzt!

I can't believe one of my best friends has a baby now. It's crazy!

I hate dancing. I hate stupid bars with music so loud it makes you feel deaf when you leave. I hate drinking stupid drinks you don't even like so you can "loosen up" and never being able to loosen up anyway. Everything's overrated.

I can't believe it's now been exactly two years since my dad died. I still remember that day so clearly. Part of me is worried that over the years, memories will fade and there will be no more pain. It's just a LITTLE too hot for me today. It's February- FEBRUARY- and it is 80 degrees today. Forget winter. What's winter in southern and central-coast California? It's just summer. I just bought "Aquavit" (a Swedish/Scandinavian cusine book) with my gift card to Barnes and Noble. I really want to start eating healthier. This entails eating fresh vegetables (no more buying frozen bags of broccoli at the grocery store), making my own meals (in advance if necessary), and not just putting a tortilla with cheese in the microwave ( Read more... )
