It's actually been forever since I just sat and read any one thing that wasn't longer than a few thousand words. But I just liked the idea of this, and as soon as I started, I couldn't just stop.
I adore how you portrayed both Winchester boys, and could feel myself getting frustrated along with Dean and sad with Sam. It was just a beautiful piece. And then the ending just blindsided me. I hadn't been expecting Tessa or the Yellow-Eyed Demon, but wow. It made so much sense that I can't believe I hadn't thought about them.
I honestly can't compliment you enough on this piece. I loved reading it.
I know what you mean about not reading long fics very often, I have a love of one-shots :) But I'm glad you gave this a chance, and SO happy you liked it!! :D
Btw, yours was my first serious comment, so yay!! Thank you so much for reading!! :D
Wow - it can be hard to find a unique story at times, so many ideas have been done in various forms, but this is the first time I've seen a story like this one. And I've got to say I loved it, and it's definitely being added to memories; I'll be reading this one over and over.
I'm not really sure about the idea of a sequel, I've knocked it around in my head a little, but there's nothing concrete as of yet. But your clapping has been duly noted!! :)
I'm hoping Sam makes the deal in a way that lets him grab the Colt, shoot the demon, and Sam and Dean will be free! And since you don't say anything to the contrary that's what I will imagine happening.
I was thinking Sam would die at Cold Oak, and then he and Dean could be together-as ghosts or moving on together, but getting thier bodies back is great too.
I originally had a more specific ending in mind for this, but at some point I stopped around here for a break and when I came back I decided I liked the ambiguity of it. I'm glad you liked it!! :D Thank you for reading!!
