I JUST received the first initial phone call from my hubby. He read from a script, I could hear in his voice that something was just not right. He said "I need to inform you that I failed my initial run, due to a serious cold. I passed out after the first mile. This will delay my graduation by a week. I love you, good bye". I'm about to walk out the door with the hubby, and take him to Spokane. He'll be leaving bright and early from the hotel tomorrow morning. It's finally here, a little bitter sweet, but also glad he's going now and going to be getting done with boot camp, sooner rather then later. So I was at the mall today, killing time before my weight loss program started at church. Sean's recruiter saw me, came up to me, and asked me why Sean hasn't returned his calls. I call Sean right then and there, the recruiter tells me he's trying to get Sean off to boot camp by the end of THIS week!!!!!!!!!!!!! Umm...I don't know if I'm ready for ( Read more... )

So Sean finally heard from his recruiter. Looks like it's official, boot camp sometime in January. The even COOLER part!? They offered him a $15,000 sign on bonus for going into linguistics...the Marines RARELY offer a sign on bonus period. Of course, he won't get that money until AFTER bootcamp, sometime in April...but non the less, at least we ( Read more... )

So yesterday Sean's brother in law Todd, gave us his 1994 Nissan pick up truck! They had a bran new engine put in it, and had a total make over. It's almost as good as new! It runs, great, just no AC or a working radio. The radio we can buy for under $100 when we get some money saved up. It's just nice to have a dependable car that runs, and not ( Read more... )
