The Beeb props department obviously lost both Marian’s ‘engagement’ and ‘wedding’ rings, because while the other two were just as ugly as the one shown, neither of them were purple. I really don't know how they thought they could get away with it, to be honest - pretty much every single reviewer I've read has noticed and mentioned it! :D
lollz. I am guessing you are not English as you couldn't watch it on beeb1.

If you want it in good quality rather than Youtube on the same day it comes out. Check out ninjavideo.net you can either download DIVX or watch it in a flash link
I'm late, but I've now seen it too. I thought they might keep Robin's slightly grungier look as he seemed a bit more plausibly medieval while sporting it, but he was cleaned up again by the end of the episode. I suppose they all have teeth that are much too nice to be realistically medieval, anyhow. :p
Guy's emo was a bit Snape-like, with the greasy hair and all. But I do approve of angst in general terms, so it will be interesting to see where it goes.
They still haven’t gotten rid of the stupid ‘Deep in the heart of England’ and eye opening credits.
All the shots of random trees are a bit strange. I think it may be set in a forest, partly? Is this what they're telling us? They really seem to want to ram that home. :p
Jerk!Robin seems to pop up quite often, doesn't he? And he's pretty precise in how he's being hurtful, too. It would be interesting to explore how that impacts on everyone else. (Beyond the cursory apology on Robin's part).
Guy was very Snape-like, although imo not as amusing, as there was less sneering and such that I've come to enjoy from him. I'm hopeful for more of that later in the season to balance out all the emo.
It makes it even less excusable that Robin seems to know exactly what to say to cut people the deepest. And then the paper over it with a half-assed apology? It would be alright if they actually addressed that (more of the barn talk from last season's finale would be a good start) - but I don't think they will.

lol - they're not exactly subtle with the forshadowingm are they? As soon as a kid pops up everyone knows something is going to happen to her.

But that doesn't mean it's not cracktastic.
