This was great! I really enjoyed the very thoughtful and "grave" conversation between the kids, and loved the characterization of Shaun and Zach's relationship. The ending was adorable!

This is so great! Poor Cody, wise beyond his years because of all the crap he's had to deal with in his life, but it's so nice to see him well adjusted.

Thank you. Yes, an earlier version of this fic was all done from the teacher's POV as she overheard this conversation and thought how remarkably astute and well-adjusted Cody was.
