IRONY- my topic on my paper tha is due mondya is on that Seperation of Church and state and how religion rorrupted the 2004 religion people voted or morals and not standard issues like the economy social security etc et etrc
Thank you Ryan, this is perfect. Let me share an experience with you. When I lived in Georgia for that very brief time, I tried to attend church. A southern baptist church, someone should have warned me. The pastor had this to say "I'm not telling you who to vote for, but just remember a "bush" led Moses to the promise land." The only issues that church was concerned with were the social issues. I knew at that moment looking around at the couple hundred congregation members who were ALL certainly voting for Bush that the election was over. There were dozens of those churches just in my county alone, nearly on every street corner. The DAMN SOCIAL ISSUES. You are completely right, the UNINFORMED public decided the election, and for as it turns out..nothing.
Nice try....for a liberal

You tried to argue a good point, credit given. I think you need to open your eyes a little wider though. Ask yourself exactly what the term politics consists of?
when in doubt refer to the dictionary: POLITICS
n 1: social relations involving authority or power [syn: political relation] 2: the study of government of states and other political units [syn: political science, government] 3: the profession devoted to governing and to political affairs 4: the opinion you hold with respect to political questions [syn: political sympathies]

Well I'm glad you know how to use a dictionary, good work... but you fail to prove any point. Maybe I am reading your thoughts incorrectly but I'm assuming you think the term 'social relations' refers to social issues such as abortion and gay rights etc. Well you're right (but mostly wrong). A social relation is a much broader term than just religious issues. Sure religious social issues fall under a ‘social relationship’ but so does The ECONOMY, environmental regulation, foreign affairs and anything (and everything) the government stands for. So mystery poster, I don’t see your point. Instead of arguing my perspective with passages out of a dictionary, maybe post some original thought. I’ll let you think about it for awhile. Nice try though… for a republican.
