Okay, here is the poem that I submitted in the contest at Poetry.com. It was longer, but I could only submit 20 lines. So first, here is the one I submitted in the contest, and the second one is the original piece that I wrote in my Creative Writing class last year. Some of you might have already read it. that's so good Keri! it's such a shame that you had to cut it down b/c i really love the full length version. i really hope you win, you deserve it!

Thanks! I like that you thought it was beautiful. I wish people from our generation would share my feelings too, if they did, i think things could improve. I'm glad you like it! :)

Thanks Mike! :) Yeah, i don't know why they put a line length on it. I wish those people could just read my full version. I think they would like it.
I haven't written anything in a while. I know this might sound silly, but i just haven't found any inspiration to write. I miss writing though. Maybe i should look harder for inspiration...

I definitely think you should write again. As for finding inspiration I don't know how that really works, I tend to believe in the Greeks version so I usually need a muse :-) But really I have always loved this quote by Ani Difranco that I think you would appreciate (it is art related):
"Art is why I get up in the morning but my definition ends there. You know I don't think its fair that I'm living for something I can't even define."
