Big day!
In the non-costuming portion of my world, today was my girl's first day of school! Oh, she was so excited! She had her backpack and her lunch box, her new dress and everything. She was so proud to be going to kindergarten like a big girl.
How did it come so quickly? -

My gems came today for Queenie. :-) Now all I need are some brass pieces and I can get into it. If I can get off my a$$ and sew I could get a lot done even without those pieces. LOL! But, I gotta pay rent before shopping again. -

It was 106 degrees today. I was unable to do anything but loaf and eat ice cream. No, that's not bad but I feel all... well... salty. I hate that. And I can't fathom what it was like for people in the valley. :-( -

I wanted to work last night, I really did...
I got off my ass and pulled out the PDSvN gown so I can start lining the skirt and I couldn't find the lining material anywhere. ANYWHERE! That was enough to derail me so I slugged for the rest of the evening with my daughter.
I actually will have somewhere to wear this thing in November if I can get it done.
