i think that EVERYONE "falls into" lifestyle choices. it's just the nature of human relations. i'm sure you must have had some revelation or personal experience that really spiked your beliefs, whereas someone who is pro-life must have had some external forces pushing them.. like witnessing an abortion.
i don't know how far neuroscience has come, or if it has went into this, but it seems like the act of "choosing" a lifestyle isn't bundled with the human brain. choices in themselves come from external experiences, relationships, etc, so wouldn't EVERYBODY "fall into" something one way or another? i'm sure you've had a revelation that spiked your beliefs for animal rights and such, and i'm sure that people with conservative beliefs that support abortion have witnessed one and how harsh it is. what i'm trying to get it is that our choices are nothing but a product of "falling into" something, or receiving feedback from our surroundings.
just my two cents

a comment like this would usually push away the casual listener. who wants to be treated like they are apathetic, ignorant goons? i sure don't. this sort of mentality is veganism's weakness, in my opinion.
