One of the things which came up often in my Training was the phrase, "A healthy priest makes all things sound" (Francesca DeGrandis).

I have never spoken with you before, but I wish to chime in and say, as a seeker, I do not find the fact that you charge tuition as unethical. The sense I get is that others teach as a "hobby" (this is no comment on the quality of their training) and do something else as a money making career. You have chosen to devote so much time to teaching that it has become your livelihood by necessity. Thus, payment is not for the knowledge, it is for your time and attention that otherwise would go to non-teaching work/jobs.

If I am ever in the position where distance training is the best option, I would hope to become your student. I can't seem to properly put into words in how much esteem I hold you, and that merely from reading your writings. Blessings to you.

Thank you for your kind words and sentiments. If you are truly interested in working with me, I suggest you take a long look at my website, www.blackheartferi.com . You may also want to look at karinabheart.com as that reveals another "side" of my work which is more suited to more people. Take your time. When and if you decide this is something you feel drawn to, fill out the Preliminary Interview and we will begin the process of sussing out whether we are a good fit for one another.
Blessings on your way.

I live in Washington state. Allow me to attempt contacting the Feris of the pacific NW once more, see if any are a good teacher match and have an open spot on their dance card. But the thirst has persisted for over two years (ever since stumbling across the tradition), and I feel parched. If that does not worked out, I will certainly be in contact.

Certainly, if you can locate someone in your region, that is best. I wish you luck and discernment in your quest for a teacher.

This is beautiful, and thank you for sharing it. As someone who's been a Feri student and hopes to again (and is still a Feri seeker) it was both moving and reassuring. And I would not trust any teacher or Priest who was not willing to acknowledge that, "Even this priest is not perfect."
