I loved this chapter so much, I think it was actually my favorite one from you! I love how you revealed the fact why Damon set her up at the prom ten years ago, and how he felt about her. And I also like how you describe Elena's feelings - emotional, really beautiful written.

I was thrilled to read the kiss, I've waited for it since the minute you reposted this story. Pure awesomeness!

I remember the first time I've read this chapter. I had this very mature and adult reaction... I yelled Hell Yeah! in my room and clapped my hand... *clear my throat*

I just got home from 13 hr night shift (I'm an RN) so my brain isn't firing on all cylinders at the moment. I love this story. Guiseppe is an ass. Damon was still just a kid when they took him in. Guiseppe really had no regard for Damon at all. I wonder why they even bothered to give him a home. They seem like they'd disinfect the ground he walked upon in their home. I can see why he has issues. He's had to depend only on himself for so long.
Elena got a little insight into his life here too. It wasn't sunshine and roses by a long shot.. Poor guy. I'm glad he apologized, told her everything behind his deceit at the prom all those years ago.. Hopefully hearing that, on top of getting a glimpse into the environment he had to live in with Guiseppe, she'll reach inside and be able to forgive him.
