Set the morning after the ball. Post 3x14. I kinda feel like writing canon at the moment. *Shrugs*. I don’t know how long this mood will last, but I suspect you may be in for more of these bizarre posts before the season ends :S

Ahhh! So much insight that I didn't really want to think about LOL OK being frank, yes after that episode I truly wanted to smack Elena. I don't hate her...but I really wanted to. At the end of the day all I want is for Damon to be happy, and the only thing that truly makes him happy IS Elena. I know she has residual feelings for Stefan...but having her pine after him like that after the ball just felt wrong, like she'd forgotten what had happened the first half of season 3. That being said, BAD ASS DAMON IS BACK! YES! :) Loved the o/s. Your writing always makes my day!

I think at the end of the day, us DEers are always going to be a bit perplexed because we just can't figure out the million dollar question...why Stefan?

Veryyyyy true! Nail on the head I think :) At this point for me its not even simply why Stefan its just why NOT Damon?? When it comes to screwing up I think they've screwed up equally with Elena. Both have dark sides and both have light in them. They'd both do anything for her and have different things to offer her. The thing that really seals the deal for me I think is how ELENA is with them. To me she's always been stronger with Damon. Not necessarily better...but Damon has had a first hand account of every side to Elena -the good the bad and the down right ugly. With Stefan I think Elena is constantly trying to be something she's really not simply b/c Stefan brought her back from the edge when she didn't know who she was anymore after her parents death.

As much as I love Elena, she really annoyed me when she rejected Damon's feelings for her so harshly. It has to be said, that episode was not my favourite but I think it could be good for DE. Like in your fic, Damon!Rebekah is going to make Elena jealous and I hope it will help to give her that little push so she can realise she has feelings for Damon. I think your take on the morning after is very realistic. I loved the bit about the switches because it is true! I hope Elena will realise that she can't take Damon for granted. I heard rumors that the writers were gearing for a SE reunion so if it's true, I guess us DE shippers will just have to be patient! Great work (I think your Stefan POV was spot on!) as always :)

I too was annoyed by it all, thus the writing, and trying to find a way to feel less annoyed at her LOL. I'd feel better if I understood her, and when I write canon, it's not for entertaining others. I'm simply trying to see if I can work the characters out. Not sure how it went here :S

POSSIBLE SPOILER

Having watched the episode, your one shot comes pretty close to the feelings all three of them portrayed in the episode. I liked Stefan's acknowledgement of Elena's feelings for Damon. I wish he'd do that in the show. He always makes it seem like Damon's feelings are one-sided when they're clearly not.

At first I was disappointed that I didn't get it *right*. But now that I've watched it a couple of times, I'm really happy with what was in this.

Get story as usual. I loved how you wrote it from all point of views and that you were able to keep within the dynamics that the characters had set within the show. I also liked that you had Damon's reaction to what Elena said at the ball, cause I find it a very Damon thing to just blow off his feelings like that. Also you wrote jealous Elena really well it was fun to read. For a first try you part in Stefan's point of view was really great. Though Stefan in the show sort of annoys me with his wanting everything to be about him. Really enjoyed this.

On one hand I'm rooting for the Stefan/Damon brother r'ship, and then the rest of the time I want to strangle Stefan for not realizing how selfish, and self-centered he is. LOL. It's confusing.

3x15 was interesting. I loved jealous Elena in the show, and I always love to write her. Again, thanks for your comments.
