Damon has a bit of a lead foot. He better slow down or he'll end up vacationing in Mystic Falls where the "hotel" has cots & the windows have bars on them! I almost thought she'd give him a swift kick when she saw him approaching her in the gym

This chapter contains one of my favourite bits of the story so far. I absolutely LOVE Damon feeling the wrath of Mystic Falls for what he did to Elena, it's just brilliant :D

And I loved the dinner scene, of course. Especially the discussion about the retreat, which I cannot wait to find out more about :)

Once again, I got a kick out of the Sheriff nabbing him for going 2 MPH over the speed limit! So awesome.

Damon's description of Mason was brilliant! I love his distaste for that man. It carries over in story after story I read and I love it!

I'm very much enjoying reading this again. I forgot how much I love their rivalry with all that sexual tension brewing underneath just waiting to explode.

And just as I was the first time around, I'm excited for what'll come once they actually get to the retreat. I can't wait to see where you go with it!

This chapter was so much fun to read for some reason. I loved how the town got behind Elena even without her saying anything. I found it highly amusing that Damon kept getting speeding tickets for barely being over the limit, I could imagine him getting really annoyed.
The fact that Ric told him to apologise to Elena and ask her to come back to work on the story with him was perfect. It showed how well he knew Damon and that the only way he would get wheat he wanted was if he swallowed his pride.
I also loved the fact that Elena had taken up kick-boxing so she didn't kill him. Great way for her to get rid of her anger.
The conversation at the restaurant was needed to semi-clear the air between them, though they still have a lot of issues to work through. They managed to stay civil which is a start I guess. The bet should make things more interesting :)
