i've had a fairly busy week so far, for me.  Monday, i got roped in by my neighbour to plant another neighbour's discarded Christmas tree (they've gone off to spend Christmas with parents, her's i think).  Helen had planted the tree in her front garden bit and came round to get my opinion.  i didn't want to say it was naff there but managed to slip

I think the one part of this post that surprised me was that you have a pick axe lol! I have a vision of you standing behind your front door really to crown intruders ...

i do find a pick axe very useful in our rather stony gardens and when it has been dry, the ground does get very hard to work, ergo i like a pickaxe! My tool cupboard might surprise you! No connection but i have a bull whip *grins*
