I'm not sure why but i started thinking about my Mum when i came in from doing a bit of gardening this afternoon, with my friend & neighbour Helen. i used to be the 2nd gardener for Mum, so not that big a stretch, i suppose. i can't believe it'll be 23 years in November since Mum died. Truly not accountable to anyone, i guess; like having no strings to anything. totally agree. Also I could give away the ornamental things I'd been bought over the years and really didn't like very much....

That landslide is rather terrifying!

i know what you mean about the ornamental things, both for my folks and me! i'm in the middle of a humungous clear-out at the moment as it happens. i have some suitcases under the bed and they were all pretty well stuffed to capacity, with new clothes and a bunch just in storage. The charity shops have had a field-day with my donations - and i'm not finished yet. i'm a good three quarters through though.
