So today at law school I got called a "pinko." It wasn't meant to be insulting, and it was said by a close friend, so I didn't take offense. I think it's kind of cool. Someone thinks I'm a pinko! It must mean I'm doing something right. ;)

Am I the only idiot who has no idea what a "pinko" is? I'm guessing something to do with Sovietness...

The word "pinko" is a derogatory term used throughout the 1950s, 60s, and 70s to describe people who were alleged Communist Party sympathizers. Speaking of organizations you're a member of, did you tell them when you joined the NAACP that the colored people you intended to advance were the pink kind?
