Over the past few weeks Starbucks has made lots of announcements that make me proud to be a part of this huge company. I love being able to work at a place where I have the benefits of working for a large corporation, but I am thankful for the encouragement they give to make each person's visit special, and provide them with a personalized ( Read more... )

So very happy this has worked out so well for you! Did they change the dress code or something? (Can't imagine why you'd want to hide that gorgeous color, though...)

They did change the dress code, basically we have a color palette that includes browns, grays and dark blues now instead of the black and white we had before. It also allows for non-natural hair colors, which my team has been pushing for a long time for. I will probably get a purple streak, not do my whole head, especially since my hair is all the way down my back now.

Wow, that gives you a lot more choices. I remember how sick I got of wearing black all the time when I was working at Papyrus. (I still mostly avoid it.)

A purple streak could be cute but I'm glad you weren't planning to do the whole thing, you have such gorgeous hair.

Oh! that is very good, and somehow seems to go against other things I'd heard of *$$... which might after all have been wrong, or not about S'b'x at all.

There are lots of opinions on how we run our stores and how partners are treated. Of course there are exceptions to my story, but I have worked in 8 stores now and I have had great experiences. The company policies have always provided a lot more benefits and positive opportunities for partners.
