Got in early today and I've been enjoying helping set up and even got recruited to help with Interfilk! I'm so glad I was able to come down, despite the storm. But I am struggling to tell myself to not sit off to the side and just get in there. I'll have a little more liquid courage, but not too much, so I can still be helpful.

Over the past few weeks Starbucks has made lots of announcements that make me proud to be a part of this huge company. We are heading out in 6 days for Conterpoint making a stop in VA to see my dad, and hopefully his new house. We'll probably stay somewhere in Baltimore but haven't made specific plans yet, we'll be at the con hotel Fru-Mon. a long time... too long
Hello friends. It has been 6 years since I have even logged onto LJ and a little longer since I've really updated. So, this will be a life update post. I was moving to Boston last time I was here and was very excited about what that meant. Writing again...
It's been a long time since I had the urge to just sit and write, but it's been happening a lot recently... so I decided I would go ahead and post a short story I just wrote this past week on here. I'm not really used to sharing my work with others, but I think it's time I did. This story I have entitled "They Taught Me How to Wish".

Dinner
You know... I never realized just how much people, myself included, take for granted the fact that they can come home from work and vent at the dinner table about how bad their day at work had been or how obnoxious their bosses/co-workers had been. Wow, oh well. Just something to think about. -
Small ones rant
So the thing about young children in general, and babies in particular, is that you can't expect anything from them, nothing is scheduled except for chaos. So here I sit at nearly 5 in the morning, wondering how long it will be before I get more than 1-2 hours (at most) of sleep at one time.
