I like warning for character death because it helps you remember the story better when you come back to it. I couldn't remember for the life of me which of two stories I wanted to read, only knew that Harry died, so I chose the one that warned for character death. :)

Hmmm...as I replied to an earlier person, it's so hard to choose...it's one of those ambiguous questions that everyone has a different answer for.

I just really like a surprise...I like the emotion to hit me...not wallow in it until the end of the story.

I was reading 'a year like no other', and I like how she did it. 'Warning: canon character death in the next chapter.' It was led up to be Draco, but I didn't know if it *would* be, and it was so tense and excellent waiting for it. I like knowing that something is going to happen. I'm not a big fan of surprises. :)

Thank you :) On both accounts. And the fandom/flist is difficult to keep up with sometimes. I occaisionally just get so tired of having to backtrack that I just stop.
