I am getting married this summer! Grey's Inn have given us permission and it is full steam ahead.

With the wisdom generated by many hours on the internets I am not joining any wedding communities, reading any special magazines or reading any newspapre articles.

The reason for this is that wedding media tends to broadly run along 3 main themes...

The video is 'Cold November Rain' so it's basically getting married in a mini dress and suspenders. Then dying in a motorcycle accident while the groom throws red roses about.

Oh since I saw Stephanie Seymour in that short wedding dress, I've been secretly wanting a short wedding dress (and it seems to be kinda trendy now actually!), but if only my legs go on as hers!! XD I'm still not sure what exactly I want though I have ideas...

We are slowing looking at venues/options. So many options and so little money! XD

Jessica is kindly making my dress and it will be quite long and traditional. Still, that short version is tempting:D

What sort of dress are you thinking of? I am going for a eighteenth centru look, I am taking my Dutchess and Marie Antionette films round to Jess's house on Saturday so I can show her what I mean.

Aw I see! She did tell me she is making a dress for someone, as I was asking her about the idea of making a dress (but mine won't be at later next year probably). No short dress and showing off legs then??! I do see quite a few short dresses now, but then in a way you don't get to wear such a long dress normally, so yeah not sure. I like some of the vintage inspired styles, like Candy Athony, have you seen them? Though I don't know if the style would suit me...

I think an 18th century look would totally suit you!! Would be so splendid!! :D

I find that I feel much happier about my life and less conflicted if I avoid reading newspapers and magazines.

Which is really bloody terrifying really....
