[ she turns on the feed, running a hand through her hair as she prepares what she wants to say. ]It has come to my attention that there are quite a few different people here, more so, even, than when I was last here. I’m glad to see so many people can, and are, getting along in spite of it, or perhaps because of it. Really, we ought to be ( Read more... )

[Hermione, Hermione, Hermione. What the hell is Draco going to do with you, woman? But like a good pseudo-bff, he's chosen to follow her to the fountain even if his mind's rattled right now. He's waiting outside of her room until she appears, and once she does with the box of badges, he'll follow her out of house 25 to the fountain.]

Can't believe you're doing this. [He's going to just grumble as they walk along.] Do you have any idea what you're doing, 'Mione?

[ he loves her anyway. she opens her bedroom door, only slightly surprised that he's still there, but then she reaches into the bag and hands over a badge. it's in green and silver. he ought to thank her. ]

I know perfectly well what I'm doing. I'm making it a better place for people. [ you're dating a vampire, draco. you should be happy for her. ] And this badge is in the right colors. They're all in different colors. The one I showed just happened to be Gryffindor colors.

[Yeeeah he really does. He blinks in surprise at his special badge though...he won't put it on but he'll at least hold onto it.]

Listen to me. You ought to know as well as I do that people here aren't like people at home. Besides, what if you attract the wrong vampires? Or even worse, you attract annoying people against the whole idea. What then?

[ he didn't really think he'd be getting out of it, did he? ]

I didn't say all vampires are good, just that not all of them are evil, either. I'll deal with them. [ pointed look :| ]

[Not sure how to respond to S.A.V.E., but--]

...blood purity? They really discriminate against people based on that?

[ it's a new idea rydia, work with her. ]

Yes, they do. I ought to know.

But--what does that have to do with magic? You're a powerful witch!

I'm Muggle-born. It means my parents are non-magical people. To the blood purists that means my blood is impure, dirty. They call people like me Mudbloods to prove their point.

[ don't get her started on this, rydia. she'll never start. ]

I don't want to see something like that happen here.

[And here comes an unsuspecting victim Terra, on her way home with an arm around a grocery bag.]

[ oh hey, a friend hermione hasn't seen in a while! she hops up and hurries over, brandishing one of the badges. ]

Terra!

[Terra pauses to smile at Hermione.]

Oh, hello! How are you? And...what is that?

I'm very well, thank you. I hope you've been all right as well.

[ she holds up the badge in random colors for terra to see. ]

I'm creating an organization for equality. Right now, we're focusing on vampires, but I think the consensus is to broaden our group to protect the other races and types of people as well later on.

Lurks aren't people. Lurks don't need saving. Lurks just need to get dusted. To save other people. Real people.

[and you know what, she says this so resolutely she might as well be throwing sharp objects to go with her words. She doesn't care if some vampires are different here. Not right now, not in this moment. She doesn't care if Angel has a soul or some of them have weirdly different powers or any of that hokum nonsense.

sue her, she's a little homesick]

Not all of them are bad people, you know. And just because someone's different doesn't mean they're less 'real' than anyone else!

[ this is a hot topic for her... ]

[ Well considering Helios is trying to do something like this back in his world? Count him interested, very interested. He'll be making his way towards the fountain with a book in hand as he was in the library when the transmission went out. ]

[ she... rather vaguely remembers him from her first time here and so she hops up with a badge in hand and heads over. ]

I'm starting an organization for those who are considered 'different.' Would you like a complimentary badge to go with it?

[ He'll regard her fondly and the badge too. ] Yes I heard over the journals. It's quite an amazing thing you're trying to do Hermione.

[ It's been awhile since they've talked. He smiles and nods holding out a gloved hand for the badge. ] You know...I've been trying to do something like this myself back home.

Thank you! [ she beams. praise is a very, very good thing to her. she hands over the badge gladly. ] You have? Have you had any luck with it?
