[ she turns on the feed, running a hand through her hair as she prepares what she wants to say. ]It has come to my attention that there are quite a few different people here, more so, even, than when I was last here. I’m glad to see so many people can, and are, getting along in spite of it, or perhaps because of it. Really, we ought to be ( Read more... )

Granger, the experiment's over. At least try to behave like a sane person for the rest of the month.

You don't have to like everything you see, but it would be nice if you'd stop being so rude. [ >( hisoka... ]

And it would be nice if you didn't waste everyone's time preaching about a supernatural danger you know absolutely nothing about.

You're going to get someone killed.

I know quite a lot about them, actually, and I also know that trying to keep everyone afraid and separated from each other is going to help no one.

I don't know much about vampires, but I don't think it's fair to judge somebody by what they are instead of what's inside. You're right about labels! They're really unfair.

Yes, exactly. It's absolute rubbish to judge people without getting to know them. They might turn out to be very kind, much kinder than those who judge them.

Yeah, and even if somebody starts out bad, it doesn't mean they can't change, either.

I believe that's possible, as well. [ she knows of one prime example and he's her housemate. ] We shouldn't judge based on looks or type, only actions. Besides, if we automatically assume everyone is going to kill us, we would never have as many friends, nor allies, as we do now. Luceti would be a much darker place than it is already. Even now, if we can keep such prejudices away, there's hope that this world can be a good one.

Do you honestly think that will work? [the sarcasm isn't detectable through the page, but he's thinking it really really hard. written because he still has a bit of a cough from that horrible flu. .......and what in the world is a house-elf?]

Yes, actually. I believe it's a good start.

You are wasting your time. People will never learn to see past their prejudices. [.....except even he can think of a few bizarre exceptions to this rule.]

[Here is an oddly good looking a young man, ripe for the recruiting!

Care to try your luck?]

[ she pops up, randomly colored badge in hand. ]

The Society Advocating Vampiric Education is just getting off its feet. We're giving out complimentary badges to go with it.

...Society?

It's an organization for people who believe in equality for non-humans.

[Ah. The one subject she's truly been unable to approach. Something that almost didn't feel needed, in Luceti, but undoubtedly coursed beneath the surface.

Drawing it out into the open like that... Raine almost didn't know how to respond. The attitude strongly reminds her of a few people, but not negatively.]

You're truly making a bold statement. Being able to take on that initiative is admirable.

I don't like the idea that innocent people might be harmed or even tortured or killed just because of what they are. It's stupid and even if it's not happened, the idea should never be allowed to form.

My only concern is... that for every action, there's usually a reaction. In order to seek more open-minded views, we mustn't be so forceful ourselves. Not when... the negative forces are not as apparent. I think at the very least, the people of Luceti are aware that ... there is more to accept here, than they would be able to in ordinary circumstances.

I know. I just want to show those who will listen that there is more to being here than just accepting what you've always been told. There's good in everyone, even people who are different.
