It was so much fun going through my copious amounts of caps to find appropriate pictures. The hard part? Picking and choosing which ones to use, so that the prat didn't end up with 200 scenes of pure Sam/Gene loving. :D
The "it makes no sense" people have always managed to get my goat (my multiple goats, really; the whole kid farm), because, DUDE, it makes absolute sense in a platonic way, so why *couldn't* it sexually?
They're practically Maddie and David, y'know, in terms of the whole opposites attract thing? And how many rom coms start out like that? ALMOST EVERY SINGLE ONE.
I can sort of understand where the "I don't see slash at all" crowd is coming from because not everyone sees it but once they do see the slash the "it makes no sense" comment pisses me off too when, as you say, the developing relationship is there and SO BLOODY VISIBLE on screen.
Gigantic slash ships are based on a hell of a lot less like the Coulson/Barton ship.
It really wouldn't have bothered me at all if she'd phrased it as *she* couldn't see it.
Exactly. It's the superiority of 'did you watch the show' that annoyed me. I really have no problem with people not shipping what I ship. That arch suggestion that one person is the sole arbiter of what makes sense and should be viewed in the source material really does piss me off.
... I am glad I'm not the only one who's been wondering a bit about how Coulson/Barton is such a juggernaut ship. I always assumed it was comics-based.
Your Tumblr responses...... You deserve SO MUCH APPLAUSE <3333333333
I take my hat off to you.
And continue drawing some slash ohohoho
(The best thing is that if you scroll through their blog, they've reblogged some Johnlock and just a post or two back from their Sam/Gene rant is a picture of a lollipop with "Butt flavour" written on)

Ah but the true beauty here is how you managed to express you incandescent rage through a humorous bent while her original post is much more ranty. ♥
After a quick glance at her Tumblr I also can't process her rantiness at all as she doesn't appear to be anti-slash.

HDU, Watson is canonically married and Sherlock *says* he's not interested in John although he's flattered.
Get out and take your filthy imagination with you!
Ahem...
