Mark had last week off and, while we spent the majority of time working on projects around the house (namely the new siding and drywall in the garage), we did have the opportunity to do a few fun things.

We got word today that our neighbor Margaret passed away last night. She was the best neighbor that anyone could ever ask for, with a great personality, and a heart of gold. I'll really miss our visits out in the yard as she worked on her flower beds and went about her business. I hope that she is reunited with her husband, whom she missed so ( Read more... )

On Saturday, Mark and I went up to Seabreeze Park to get our season passes and to ride a few rides in the process. It was an absolutely beautiful evening, and we arrived around 9:00, which gave us two hours until the park closed. For those who missed Bob Barker's final episode of TPIR, fear not! The episodes can be viewed here. Sadly, my childhood dream of being on TPIR with Bob Barker is now dead. *sigh*

We finally visited the ice cream shop around the corner. In a nutshell, it's expensive, and not all that good. I don't at all understand why Rochester ice cream shops feel that the going rate for a soft serve cone is $4. Outrageous.

I think more than ever that I need to open my own ice cream parlour...and arcade...and miniature golf.

I'm thrilled to announce that while Perry's Zero Visibility (Coconut Rum Ice Cream) has gone dormant for the summer, Wegmans has redeemed itself and brought Chocolate Nutty Cone back to Rochester! Oh indeed, happy days are here again!

All of a sudden, I really want to go to Holiday World... Anyone want to take a road trip? ;)
