We went to a wine farm in Stellenbosch that specializes in white wines. JP says their chardonney is the second best around but at a fraction of the cost of the first place trophey holder. It's surprising to see such a nice facility and fancy restaurant considering their wines only sell for US$10-15 and their volumes, like most from the region, ( Read more... )

JP gave us a walking tour of his town and university before we headed to a local pub named Gino's to watch the South Africa vs. Mexico game. Business class rocks. We had a 10am-10pm southern flight (no time zone change). My only regret was that I didn't get to use the nearly flat reclining seats because I was trying to stay awake to acclimate to the correct time zone.

Facebook actually has some value it would turn out. When we found out we'd be in Amsterdam for one night with no plan, I contacted my friend and fellow former WRPI DJ Julian to see if we wanted to meet up. Tracey and I arrived at Boston's Logan airport at 4:30pm for our 7:00pm flight to Amsterdam with connections tomorrow morning on to Cape Town, South Africa. Unfortunately, when we arrived the electronic ticketing booths would not issue us boarding passes. It seemed to be a common problem for people on our flight.
