[Nyota spent the last few days on Veridian IV, and no one bothered to inform her that her best friend had an unfortunate run-in with shrapnel.

So when the video pops up on her screen she just stares for a long moment, then bolts out of her chair to go straight to Scotty's room to check on him, ringing for entrance when she arrives.]

[The person who meets her at the door is decidedly not Scotty, but is really quite charming and handsome and also as protective as all hell of a certain engineer right now. He smiles at her from the doorway, before letting her in, turning behind him to where Scotty's sitting on the bed.]

Look alive, soldier. You've got yourself a visitor.

[Scotty looks like he's definitely seen better days, but for the most part he's completely fine. Just woozy from the medicine and a little out of it. He tries to wave at Uhura with his left arm, which doesn't go so well, so he switches to his right. Much better.]

[Nyota blinks a little when the man who answers the door is very much not Scotty, but then she smiles, glad that Jack is here with him even though there's still obvious concern in her expression.] Hi, Jack.

[And then she's hurrying to Scotty's side, looking him over with a frown.] Scotty, are you all right? What happened?
