1: No, but I want one! Have to start researching... 2: Oh yes, five minutes ago actually - and discovered that doing white on white without my magnifying lamp is just silly. It looks awful, but as I don't see the thread, it's a bit hard to rip out. Grmbl. It'll have to be a horror-bookmark for myaself, to remind of how not to do this... 3: Yes, she did. My paternal grandmother, at least. She was a human knitting machine, too - and I still have socks she made. And a sweater that fits my daughter and Dad's old jacket. 'tis nice to have her with me ike that, even though it's almost thirty years since she died. 4: Of course, I'd love to learn more about the old specialties. 5: Nope. Not yet. If I manage to make something without effing it up, it'll end up as a PIF and thus be posted. Eventually. There's some embellishment on this (see icon), but I'm not at all sure if it's visible...
Couldn't help but notice Moonette's e-mail stating that you have a Jan 27 birthday coming up. My whole family is on the 27th of one month or another and my older brother's birthday is the same day, so here's wishing you a good one!
Hi Zia! Your brother must be a gorgeous guy. We have quite a few 27s in my extended family too, and I must say we are the best *buffs nails* - together with the rest. *giggles* So, when's yours? 27th what?
Give my best to your brother, may he have a truly awesomeone, and many happy returns!
Big bro is practical to a fault (he once asked me to roll up my window on a summer day so he could get better gas mileage, lol!) and got the darkest olive skin out of the four of us.
I will think of both you and him tomorrow. : )
I'm the 27th of next month.
Oh, and don't forget James Potter on the 27th of March. Now that really cracked me up!!!
I just posted this elsewhere, but I thought you might like it. ; )
Name: James Potter Age: forever young Job: Strumming the harp with Sirius while Lily rolls her eyes at us... [shouts back over shoulder] "No way mate, it's YOU who plays backup!" Place: behind the veil Income: NA (And now Remus has no need to protest at taking a handout) Favorite Things: watching Harry succeed, knowing Harry married a redhead of his own (who plays professional Quidditch!), being surrounded by my friends, Lily's green eyes and smile. Games: Quidditch, of course Turn ons: Pretty redheads with a habit of turning on their heel while making witty replies, talent and determination without precedent Turn offs: getting taken to task on my weaknesses, bringing Snivellus into the picture/conversation My friends would say: I never let them down. "Well... except that one time when Evans walked by while I was supposed to be helping Moony with his... er, nevermind."

That's really cool.
Now, I wonder if I have time to scan back over any of the posts I missed in the past week...
