Waste of a day

Dude, I've always heard good things about the movie Four Weddings and a Funeral, so I watched it today. And dude, what a complete and utter waste of time. Gag me with a spoon! No wonder I hate romantic comedies, it's because they're all like this piece of crap XP Awful. There's so much other stuff I could have done today but noooo I had to watch a ( Read more... )

*GASP* You can't be my friend anymore! I love that movie!!! Actually, I liked it a lot when it came out because I went to see it with a good friend and we laughed a lot at it. I do still like it though. ... You're weird. Then again, I'm one to talk!

But but but... it was so cheesy! I mean, come on! The whole thing was completely preposterous. Utterly predictable and conventional. OF COURSE they meet at a wedding. OF COURSE she invites him up to his hotel room. OF COURSE they sleep together after knowing each other about five minutes. OF COURSE she goes away. OF COURSE she gets engaged. OF COURSE someone drops dead. OF COURSE she winds up separated - just in time for his wedding ( ... )

Actually, the thing that I like the most about that movie is that the first 10 lines are "F**K!" and within those first lines is my favorite cuss-word EVER: "F**k-a-doodle-doo". =D And I like the poem that John Hannah's character reads during the funeral. I also love the scene where Huge Grant is signing with his brother about how Andie McDowell's character has nice tits. I can't stand Andie McDowell though. Ugh! She needs to stick to hair-color comercials.

Yeah, I'm with you on that. Fuckadoodledoo was funny *gigglesnort* As for the poem, well, I do like WH Auden, but I didn't like that it was in the movie. Another thing I don't like about romcoms, they always exploit some old poem. bleh

Also don't like Andie McDowell. I liked her in Groundhog Day, but that's just because I liked the rest of the movie and she just happened to be in it LOL
