Everyone, if I may have your attention, and ask of you to take notes. My name is Raine Sage. Students, I expect you to be paying close attention, for I intend to give a test about this in the near future.

Today's date is September 17th of our Luceti calender. I hope that all of you reading this are familiar with the guide in some form; I am doing ( Read more... )

Rem... I see. It would be useful to have a name to refer to her as, if it's one she agreed to.

I have heard a lot of this already, but thank you for organizing it here and allowing me to expand upon what I've learned.

I'm not sure I have any questions yet, but I do like this town meeting idea.

You don't need to thank me; it needed to be done.

Hopefully if enough agree, we can make them a reality. Or just announce meetings here, and see who arrives.

The one member of the Third Party I was able to Scan during the battle was noted as being one hundred thirty-three years old, though she looked relatively young. Whether they simply have a much longer lifespan than most of our residents or whether they stop aging at some point and could be considered situationally immortal, I'm not sure, but it could be something to take into account. She was also a specialist in fire magic, which at least suggests they use a system of magic we can understand, and those "progressive shifts" you mentioned.

There are races in general that are capable of long life, so there's really no telling whether it's something associated to those outside the barrier, or if it was something she was "born" with. Although the idea itself is something to consider. If we only had more information...

We also were told that they also utilize the Filial magic here to some degree... perhaps the magic was related to that.

Thank you for your input.

Any piece of information we can get our hands on is at least something we can consider for possible effects, though too much speculation can potentially be as bad as too little.

It makes sense; magic systems seem to be isolated from world to world, or perhaps a few worlds at best. If the Filial magic is the native magic of this land, then if the Third Party are the native residents then they would have to use the Filial magic at least as a base reference.

...It's an ugly suggestion, but perhaps the possession incident came about as a way for spirits - rogue or no - to try and make the residents here into better vessels for their power or better matches for the Third Party themselves. I wasn't here for the incident, so I can't be entirely certain of what happened then, but it seems like an omen that the possessed residents became similar to an enemy we fought three months later, as far as the base descriptions go.

Indeed. There is always room for discussion, but without sufficient evidence, it may not get us too far.

However neither the spirits nor the Third Party are native to this land. There is some form of connection, perhaps developed over time. To what extent, we cannot say.

Some of the possessed residents ... lost themselves, within the spirits influence, though there didn't seem to be any goals in mind. It was a very trying time. I suppose if more time had passed, we would have more of an idea of where things would have led, but for now, the spirits' are once again relegated to simply that.

Thank you for this. It is good to have all the information in one place. I would be glad to attend any meetings you wish to organize.

When I spoke with ANI's creator, I got a very strong impression that she may have been associated with the Third Party at one point in time.

She did not confirm it, but she also did not deny it when I outright stated that it was likely.

Hmm, I see. That's an interesting tie, and seems to fit in her case.

It does, in fact that was the first thing I asked her and speaking more with her, I became more and more convinced that was the case. And also that we are being used as pawns in a battle between her and them.

I'm not sure I like that, but the alternative does not seem much better either.

It does feel like we are pawns, though it's not just her chessboard. It seems more as if everyone involved considers us pawns, but we're being waged against the world's cycles itself. "A valuable resource", John once said. Right now it is their advantage.

As long as we remain aware of it... there's not much more we can do.
