Good evening, everyone. Today is January 19 by the Luceti calendar. Welcome to Luceti, New Feathers.
My name is Albert Silverberg. I am writing through a secure system that is only visible to Luceti residents, so the Malnosso Organization cannot see this entry. As mentioned in the guide, do not use the journals for exchanging sensitive information -- including the existence of this system.
This system's primary purpose is to broadcast compiled information to residents. This information comes from multiple sources, some which are not known by the Malnosso. The most current compilation can be found here.
Our Current Situation
January is the beginning month of Luceti's calendar year. The weather is still cold, leading to less movement outside of the village. The village has recently recovered from a sudden blizzard.
There have not been any obvious experiments done lately other than the abductions and returns. This is unusual in comparison to the two previous years, when there had been two experiments each January. Keep that in mind as we approach the end of the month.
The most notable of the four previous January experiments was the appearance of the Hunter, a creature that attacked residents for their wings. It reappeared this last October, though residents were not exposed nearly as much because of the Halloween party that many did not leave. The Hunter was a wingless, human-like creature that attacked with bow and blade, sometimes killing its victims in the process of taking their wings.
Simon Belmont has compiled a list of practical skills that residents have. This is voluntarily-given information.
Caesar Silverberg is in the process of recruiting volunteers to help improve the barricade outside of the village.
The smithy and weapon shop once ran by Lloyd Irving and Edward has been taken over by Elisa Maza and Sokka.
