[Locked Transmission to Residents]

Good evening, everyone. Today is January 19 by the Luceti calendar. Welcome to Luceti, New Feathers.

My name is Albert Silverberg. I am writing through a secure system that is only visible to Luceti residents, so the Malnosso Organization cannot see this entry. As mentioned in the guide, do not use the journals for exchanging sensitive information ( Read more... )

Hmm... the Hunter. Interesting thing, no?

It was, yes.

It makes me wonder what sort of answers it might hold.

It's been referred to as both a failure and a side project. I would hazard to say that it's treated with disdain even by the scientists.

Always so on the up-and-up, Albert. [A pause for a smile.]

What's the deail with this barricade thing? [She...sticks to asking you, since she kind of vaguely knows you.]

I try, Buffy. [There's a pause before he continues typing a reply.]

The barricade during the battle was never meant to last; Caesar is taking up the task of developing a more durable replacement that will expand further than the makeshift one from before. He's currently recruiting volunteers, but work will not begin immediately.

I only have a days' worth of construction experience--[yes, she is quite the jack of all trades sometimes]--but I can lend a hand once Doctor McCoy gives me the thumbs up. For what it's worth.

I'm sure the help would be appreciated. It would be a long-term project, but more volunteers means a faster pace.

There have been slow periods in the past, which is why noting the lack of experiments is important. When there are fluctuations in the experiments, the Malnosso are preoccupied with something -- another project, the threats outside the barrier, or internal problems.

It's hard to say, seeing as we haven't seen anything to suggest internal issues this time other than the slowing in experiments. Before, we had some insight when Jacob was giving us information.

There have been deaths, yes. The Hunter was not around for very long though, so casualties were few.

There's no way of knowing. It appears to be a newer project, seeing as there hasn't been much information on it.

Probably the most helpful information anyone's said since I got here.

These experiments... I'm guessin' they don't happen on a regular schedule. Makes more sense for these Malnosso folks to keep us guessing.

The experiments used to be fairly predictable the first year or so. We know there have been changes within the Malnosso Organization since then, such as restructuring and the flushing out of a traitor.
