Summary: Pascal is throwing a house party to try and cheer everyone up, especially those of you who returned from the draft and have since filled her journal inbox with sadness and woe. It's B.

[Marica comes in looking a bit bewildered by the decorations. It's really... colorful in here.]

[When she thinks about it, Jale would have a really great poker face... since he's always wearing one, poker or not. She wonders if having grown up with him will help her at the card table at all.

She gives her punch a slightly bigger sip. She's not really one for pointless competition, but the way Daisy's guzzling that punch makes Marica doubt herself just a little bit. Maybe it's not that potent...?]

Well, it's all right. Poker face or not, there's no substitute for plain old luck! ... Cheating aside, of course. That's what makes gambling fun, I think.

Well, no pressure. If I end up winning a bunch, I'll probably end up sharing my loot with everyone anyway.

I guess it'd defeat the purpose of gambling in the first place, but I wouldn't wanna horde it all to myself... Oh, speaking of which, I wonder what I should make?

[Superhuman reaction time vaguely noted. Marica feels a tad bit spacey as she takes another sip.]

Y'know, I've never really tried making any of those before. [Heck, before she came here, she didn't even know what chocolate was.] First time for everything, though... And since coming here, new experiences have kinda been the norm.

Got a couple of cookbooks from the library a while back. I'll check 'n' see when I get home. [She'll admit she's skimmed over the more unfamiliar recipes.]

I should be okay with the oven, though. I worked over at Azzip durin' that experiment, if you've heard of the place. [Sip. Slow and steady wins the race?]

Azzip's a "pizza" place, though it was a family restaurant for the experiment. They didn't really let me work the kitchen much, though... [Huff.]

W-Wait, what? [She snaps out of her daze to look at Daisy.] Did you say ovens on fire? [Because she didn't even know they could do that.]

Oh. I thought the insides might've been fireproof... [It seems like an easy thing to do after you've made a box that can magically heat things. Even the hearths and stuff back in Marica's world didn't catch on fire.] Geez, that's some lack of foresight, isn't it? Seems like common sense to fix it up so it's not so dangerous.
